ACCESSIBILITY

If you are struggling to read some of the articles in Handsam Compliance Matters, here are some tips to help.

CHROME DESKTOP

1. Navigate to the page with the text you would like to read.

2. Click the three dots (More) -> More tools -> Reading mode.

3. Use the top toolbar in the side panel to change the font style, size, line height, and contrast themes for maximum clarity.

CHROME ANDROID

1. Navigate to the page with the text you would like to read.

2. Look for the prompt "Show simplified view" at the bottom of the screen when an article loads, and tap View.

3. If no prompt appears: Tap the three dots (More) in the top-right corner -> tap Settings -> Accessibility -> enable Simplified view for web pages.

4. Customise appearance: Tap the three dots (More) while in simplified view -> tap Appearance to adjust the font size, font style, and theme.

SAFARI

1. Navigate to the page with the text you would like to read.

2. Activate Reader View: Click the Reader button (a page icon with lines of text) on the left side of the address bar, or press Command + Shift + R.

3. Customise Appearance: Click the aA icon on the right side of the address bar to change fonts, font size, and background themes (Light, Sepia, Grey, Dark).

iOS

1. Navigate to the page with the text you would like to read.

2. Tap the Page Settings button (the aA icon or page menu icon) on the left side of the address bar.

3. Tap "Show Reader" (or press and hold the aA icon directly to trigger it instantly).

4. Customise appearance: Tap the aA icon again while in Reader mode to adjust font styles, font size, and background colors (Light, Sepia, Gray, Dark).

BRAVE

1. Navigate to the page with the text you would like to read.

2. Activate Reader View: Click the Speedreader icon (a small book symbol) that appears in the address bar on compatible pages.

3. Customise Appearance: Use the top toolbar options to switch font styles, adjust size, change line height, or toggle between light and dark themes.

MICROSOFT EDGE

1. Navigate to the page with the text you would like to read.

2. Activate Reader View: Click the Immersive Reader icon (a book with a speaker) on the right side of the address bar, or press F9.

3. Customise Appearance: Click Text preferences in the top toolbar to adjust text size, font choice, character spacing, and background themes.

MICROSOFT EDGE ANDROID & iOS

1. Navigate to the page with the text you would like to read.

2. Tap the Immersive Reader icon (an open book symbol) that appears on the right side of the address bar.

3. Customise appearance: Tap the Aa (Text preferences) icon at the bottom or top menu to adjust text size, spacing, font type, and theme colours.

MOZILLA FIREFOX

1. Navigate to the page with the text you would like to read.

2. Activate Reader View: Click the Reader view icon (a small open book) on the right side of the address bar, or press F9.

3. Customise Appearance: Use the left sidebar menu (click Aa) to change the font style, text size, line spacing, margins, and light/dark colour themes.

MOZILLA ANDROID & iOS

1. Navigate to the page with the text you would like to read.

2. Tap the Reader View icon (a small page icon with lines) on the right side of the address bar.

3. Customise appearance: Tap the Aa icon at the bottom toolbar to change font face, font size, line spacing, and colour schemes.
